Photoshop
We used photoshop to edit the pictures for our magazine front cover and film poster. At first i struggled to use this program because i had never used it before but after a while and some experimenting with pictures with my partner Francois i got the hang of it and we edited some good pictures. The instructions were easy to follow and we could do such things as fade and smudge pictures to make them look more professional. We also used it to put the words onto our film poster as the background which added great effects. Photoshop also gives the user the ability to layer the pictures as well with as many effects as possible. As well as using effects you can add other pictures on top to make it look like you were somewhere you weren't or anything. This was recommended to me by my teacher to use because it was the simplest compared to other software on the computer.
Adobe Premiere Pro CS5
Premiere is an editing program for videos. It enables you to shorten clips and change the sound level to optimise the quality of clips. You could then put all the clips together to make a small film or trailer. It is a very easy program to use as it has only a few options you can chose and if you do something wrong it is very easy to fix. The good thing about Premiere is that you can change the tempo and brightness of some of the clips depending on the genre of your film. We decided to use this because it is easy to use and was recommended to us by our teacher who said that this is the easiest program to learn how to use compared to other software's. It is famous for its one click technology where you can edit anything with one click of the mouse for example brightness or sound. We used this to change the brightness on our actors because they were to bright due to bad lighting during filming and the background noise was to loud so we managed to quieten it down whilst playing our soundtrack over it which we imported ourselves.
