Reflection on learning from film magazine front covers with links to own film magazine front covers
From analysing front covers of magazine i have realised that the lettering is very important. Not just the font of it but also the colour and size. In the Sherlock Holmes magazine i looked at i saw that the title of the film was written in big lettering and was also in a blue colour that matched the background so that it would give off an eerie morning theme. I took this into account and decided to use the light blue colours of twitter for my lettering to show the theme. It also worked well because my background was a black keyboard so it stood out well which is very important. I made the font as large as possible without blocking the important parts of the picture so that everyone knew what the film title was. I then looked into more magazines and realised that the extras in a magazine are important to people who might want to buy it. These are such things as free give aways or exclusive interviews with actors. After looking through lots of magazines i decided that we would have lots interviews and film reviews to grab the readers attention.
