This is the laptop we used in the trailer with the bedroom scene. It is used when the two boys are designing twitter and there is a close up shot of this computer screen in the trailer which is very significant to the plot. If the computer wasn't in the trailer then the trailer wouldn't make much sense because most things are created on a computer. We looked through lots of potential laptops we could of used and decided to use my one because it was at my house where we did the filming and also it is black so its easily picked up by the camera. As you can see in the picture the screen is very bright but we turned the brightness down on it which is another reason we chose this laptop. We also chose this laptop because it has a wide screen so the camera could pick up what you were doing on there easier such as scrolling through twitter. I think that the laptop is the most important prop in this trailer because twitter was made on a computer so if it was made on something else than it wouldn't have the same effect and the story line wouldn't be correct.
This is the mouse we used in the trailer. We decided to use a mouse instead of the touch pad on my laptop because I thought it would be clearer for the audience to see what we are doing. Also we thought that it would be more effective because we have an extreme close up of a hand moving the mouse and it wouldn't be the same if it was on a touch pad. We also wanted the clicking sound of a mouse in the trailer which is the main reason why we chose the mouse over a touch pad. We used this certain wireless type of mouse to show when this film is set because it is set in 2011 everything is very modern. We also had to take into account the colour of the mouse to make it look good next to the laptop because if it was a completely different colour it wouldn't look right.
